"I started an online store, but every time orders increase, I worry about mixing up products or shipping mistakes..." Does this sound familiar?

When you only had a few orders a day, you could keep track of everything in your head, but once it grows to 10 or 20 orders, confusion easily sets in: "Wait, which products go with this order?" or "Which order was that product I just picked up for?"

This is where a picking list comes in handy. It's not just a "list of products" — it's a practical tool for carrying out shipping work accurately and smoothly. This article explains everything from the basics to practical tips, in a way that even ecommerce beginners can immediately understand and put to use.

What Is a Picking List?

A picking list is like a "shopping list" for efficiently gathering the products ordered on your ecommerce site from the warehouse. It's created based on the customer's order details, and warehouse staff use it to pick (gather) products accurately and efficiently.

On Shopify, you can easily create a picking list using Shopify's own document app, Shopify Order Printer.

What Is Shopify Order Printer?

Shopify Order Printer is a completely free app provided by Shopify that lets you easily print documents needed for shipping on Shopify, such as invoices, receipts, bills, and picking lists.

You can also customize document templates by editing the HTML (Liquid file).

With customization, you can insert your company logo image, change the text and line colors, and even create your own store-specific documents generated from orders.

Creating your own store-specific documents also helps customers recognize your brand.

The blog article below explains Shopify Order Printer in detail. Please use it as a reference.
