Thank you very much for using RuffRuff Selling Periods. We’d like to share improvements to the free trial specification and the plans page.
Improved so the remaining free trial period carries over when you change plans
Previously, changing plans during the free trial period would end the trial immediately, and the new plan would become billable right away.
With this improvement, if you change plans during the trial period, the remaining trial period now carries over as-is to the new plan. Even if you switch between monthly and annual plans during your trial, you won’t be charged as long as you’re within the trial period. This lets you compare features with confidence while deciding on a plan.
Free trial status now shown on the plans page
We’ve added a banner to the top of the plans page that shows your free trial status.
- Not yet used: Lets you know that a 3-day free trial is available
- Trial in progress: Shows that you’re in the trial period and roughly how much time remains
- Already used (no active plan): Shows that billing will start as soon as you approve a plan
Additionally, if you’ve already used your free trial, each plan card will show a “Not eligible for free trial” note. If you’re changing your current plan, please check the actual charge amount and effective timing on Shopify’s plan change confirmation screen.
Notes on this change
● This improvement is applied automatically; no additional configuration is required from store owners.
● The free trial can only be used once per store. Changing plans does not extend the trial period.
● If very little of the trial period remains, it may not be eligible for carryover.
Thank you for continuing to use RuffRuff Selling Periods.
