Previously, excluded tags only supported exact match. We have now added support for the following three new matching patterns.
- Starts with (e.g., sale* → excludes sale-001, sale-items, etc.)
- Ends with (e.g., *-old → excludes summer-old, stock-old, etc.)
- Contains (e.g., test → excludes abtest, test-sample, etc.)
Why This Change Was Needed
- Improved configuration efficiency: Even for stores with many tags, exclusion conditions can now be set in bulk using patterns, eliminating the need to list them manually
- Prevention of human error: Prevents missed settings for similar tags and stops unintended tags from being displayed
Usage Examples
- "Exclude tags starting with promo-" → Enter "promo-" in the excluded tags field and select "Starts with"
- "Exclude tags ending with -archive" → Enter "-archive" in the excluded tags field and select "Ends with"
- "Exclude tags containing temp" → Enter "temp" in the excluded tags field and select "Contains"
