RuffRuff Table of Contents text can now be configured individually at the block level (app blocks, embedded app, etc.), enabling multi-language support through the theme's translation feature.
Previously, the table of contents title and the labels for the "Open," "Close," and "Show all" buttons could only be configured with a single, store-wide setting. With this update, you can now override these texts individually for each block in the theme editor.
What's Changed
For each table of contents block placed on product pages, collection pages, static pages, and article pages, enabling "Override the app's common settings" lets you enter a title and button labels specific to that block.
- The text you enter is covered by Shopify's theme content translation feature.
By registering translations for each language your store supports, the text will automatically switch based on the viewer's language. - Leaving the title blank hides the title for that block only.
- If you leave a button label blank, the text from the app's common settings will be used, as before.
How to Use
- Open the table of contents block in the theme editor
- In the "Text" section, turn on "Override the app's common settings for this block"
- Enter the title and each button's label
- Add translations from the "Theme language" settings (or Translate & Adapt)
Applicable Plans
This feature is available on the Light plan and above. On the Free plan, the setting fields are displayed but the values entered will not be applied.
