Thank you for using RuffRuff Order Limits. We fixed a bug that occurred during cart operations, and we'd like to share the details.
The issue we fixed
When all of the following conditions were met, changing the quantity or removing a product on the cart page could redirect to a Shopify error page ("Something went wrong.") instead of showing the correct limit message.
- Theme: Themes such as Prestige, which use links (
/cart/change) for changing quantity or removing items in the cart - Product state: A discount is applied to the product in the cart
- Action: Changing the quantity or removing a product on the cart page
- App setting: "Show alert messages in a popup" is enabled
Discounted products have their internal identifier updated every time the cart changes. Because the action was carried out using the identifier from before that update, the error page was shown instead of the limit message that should have appeared.
The same issue could also occur in the following cases:
- Changing the quantity by typing directly into the quantity field
- Changing the quantity or removing a product over an unstable network connection
Impact on your customers
When a customer performed an action that violated a limit, they may not have seen the correct limit message and instead had their cart operation interrupted by an error page. The cart data itself was not affected.
Status
This issue has been fully fixed. No action is required on your part.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and thank you for continuing to use RuffRuff Order Limits.
