(Update, May 19, 2025) Shopify has informed us that this is a permanent specification change, and we have updated our apps to comply with the new specification.
[Issue]
Due to a recent Shopify specification change, the number of active validation functions using the "Cart and Validation API" is now limited to a maximum of 25.
Because RuffRuff apps generate a validation function for each rule, a server error may occur if the total number of active rules exceeds 25.
Please also note that if you use other Shopify apps besides RuffRuff apps that also generate validation functions, the same issue will occur if the total number of active functions across your entire store exceeds 25.
Please note that Shopify has not made an official announcement regarding this limit as of this writing, and it is unclear whether it is temporary or permanent.
[Requested Temporary Workaround]
If a server error occurs, please temporarily disable any rules you are not currently using in the apps listed below, so that the total number of active rules stays within 25.
[Affected Apps and Rules]
RuffRuff Order Limits
- Quantity rules
- Amount rules
- Bundle rules
- Customer rules
RuffRuff Selling Periods
- Selling period rules
RuffRuff 予約販売
- Pre-order rules with "Robust restriction on the checkout page" enabled
[Future Response]
We will continue to investigate and work on a fundamental solution on the app side.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation with this temporary workaround until a full resolution is in place.
