Thank you for using RuffRuff Order Limits.
We fixed an issue where the quantity picker on product pages applied a quantity rule's minimum and increment to a single product's input field, without taking the rule's scope into account.
The Problem
For a quantity rule such as "8 or more units across the combined cart total for eligible products" (scope: Cart), the quantity picker on the product page was locked to a minimum of 8, preventing customers from selecting a lower quantity. Rules meant to be evaluated against the combined quantity across multiple products were being enforced as if they applied to a single product.
What Changed
| Applies to | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
|
Quantity Rule (Scope: Cart / Product) |
Minimum, maximum, and increment were all applied to the quantity picker | Only the maximum is applied to the quantity picker (minimum and increment are no longer applied) |
|
Quantity Rule (Scope: Variant) |
Minimum, maximum, and increment were all applied to the quantity picker | No change (minimum, maximum, and increment are all still applied) |
|
Product-Specific Quantity Limits "Total Quantity Limit" |
Not applied to the quantity picker (message only) | The maximum is now applied as a supplementary upper bound (the smaller of this and any other applicable maximum is used) |
Impact on Existing Settings
Quantity rules with a Variant scope, and the "Quantity Limit" setting under Product-Specific Quantity Limits, behave exactly as before, so no additional configuration is needed. The content and timing of messages shown on product pages are unchanged.
