We have added a pattern matching feature to payment rules in RuffRuff Order Limits, enabling more flexible control over payment methods.
In addition to the previous exact matching, partial string matching now makes it easier to hide payment methods.
Types of Pattern Matching
For manually added payment methods, you can now hide them using the following four matching methods.
| Matching Method | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Exact match | When the payment method name matches exactly | PayPal (exact match) → "PayPal" only |
| Starts with | When the beginning of the payment method name matches | Pay (starts with) → PayPal, PayPay, etc. |
| Ends with | When the end of the payment method name matches | 決済 "payment" (ends with) → Konbini payment (コンビニ決済), Pay-easy payment (ペイジー決済), etc. |
| Contains | When part of the payment method name matches | ペイ "pay" (contains) → Rakuten Pay (楽天ペイ), Pay-easy payment (ペイジー決済), etc. |
Benefits
- Reduces human error such as mistyping
- Reduces the effort of entering payment method names
- Handles sudden partial changes to payment method names (e.g., a change from "○○後払い" to "○○あと払い")
