The "Exclude gift products" option in the "Exclusion settings" — used to narrow down target products for the "Cart item quantity" and "Cart subtotal amount" conditions, as well as for recurring gift target products — is now checked by default when newly created.

Previously, exclusion settings were all unchecked by default when newly created, so if a gift product that had already been given out remained in the cart, it would be counted as-is as a target product for the condition, sometimes causing an unintended discount to be reapplied or a gift to be given out again. With this change, this kind of unintended behavior can now be prevented in advance.
What Changed
- When newly adding a condition or target product setting: "Exclude gift products" will be shown checked by default
- Existing settings (where the exclusion setting has been explicitly turned off): There is no change in behavior
- Settings created before this feature was added (where the exclusion setting itself was not saved): From now on, the default switches to the "Exclude gift products" side
If you want to intentionally include gift products in the target, you can continue to uncheck it as before. If you have any questions, please contact our support team.
