[Shopify] What Is Kaching Bundles App & Upsells? Features, Pricing, and How to Use It

Tsun ライターチーム

One of the challenges many store owners face when trying to grow ecommerce sales is "how to increase average order value." Acquiring new customers costs ad spend, but if you can get a customer who's already considering a purchase to buy one more item, you can boost sales without extra cost.

This is where Shopify's upsell app "Kaching Bundles App & Upsells" comes in. This article explains its features, benefits, pricing plans, and how to use it. If you're considering adopting it, we hope this helps.

What Is the Shopify Upsell App "Kaching Bundles App & Upsells"?

Kaching Bundles App & Upsells is an upsell app that lets you easily set up product bundles, quantity discounts, free gifts, and more on your Shopify store. It has earned Shopify's official "Built for Shopify" badge and holds high ratings across a large number of reviews. Campaigns and design can be set up without coding, so it's usable even if you're not an engineer.

One thing to note, however, is that the app's setup screen (admin side) doesn't support Japanese. The setup screen supports 9 languages, but Japanese isn't among them, and it's also not covered by browser translation features, so if you're not comfortable with English or other supported languages, you'll need to work through setup with the help of a dictionary or translation tool.

That said, the campaign text shown to customers can be displayed in Japanese, so it doesn't affect the customer experience.

Kaching Bundles App & Upsells' Main Features and What It Can Do

Kaching Bundles App & Upsells is an app that lets you set up major upsell tactics — bundle deals, quantity discounts, and free gifts — with no code. Here are its key features.

Create a Wide Variety of Bundles

You can create various kinds of bundle deals, such as "fixed bundles" with a set combination of products, "mix and match" where customers can choose the products they like, and multi-packs of the same product. This lets you promote inventory that doesn't sell well on its own by grouping it together, and it's useful for tactics aimed at increasing the number of items purchased.

Quantity Discounts / Volume Discounts

You can set up discounts based on purchase quantity, like "10% off for 2" or "20% off for 3." It's a classic technique for boosting average order value — giving a customer who only planned to buy one item a reason to add another.

Free Gifts and Perks

You can set up gift promotions like "free gift with purchases over ¥XX," or perks such as BOGO (Buy One Get One free), to give customers a sense of value. Since this isn't just discount-driven messaging, you can raise average order value while preserving your brand image.

Subscriptions

You can add a subscription option to bundle deals. However, creating and managing the subscription plan itself (billing frequency, customer management, etc.) requires a separate subscriptions app. By turning on "Subscriptions" in the Kaching Bundles setup screen, you can display a subscription option on the bundle page. This lets you combine bundles and subscriptions in messaging like "first-time-only set" or "great-value subscription box."

No-Code Design Customization

You can adjust button colors, text, and layout to match your store's look and feel without writing any code. Since it supports all themes, the appearance is unlikely to break if you change themes, so even owners who aren't confident in design can adopt it with peace of mind.

A/B Testing and Sales Analytics

It comes with an A/B testing feature that lets you try different messaging patterns at the same time, so you can compare which bundle is performing best. On top of that, you can check additional sales generated through the app on a dashboard, letting you track results numerically as you improve.

Benefits of Adopting Kaching Bundles App & Upsells on Shopify

Adopting Kaching Bundles App & Upsells can help not just with raising average order value, but also with inventory management and operational improvements. Here are the main benefits.

Increasing AOV (Average Order Value)

Bundle deals and quantity discounts make it easier for a single customer to buy multiple products. Since you can boost sales even with the same amount of traffic, it's appealing as a way to improve profitability without spending more on ads.

Improving Conversion Rate

Messaging like "save with this set," "save when you buy in bulk," or "free gift, today only" can nudge undecided customers toward completing a purchase. Since you can naturally convey a sense of value on the product page or in the cart, it can also be used as a tactic against cart abandonment.

Increasing LTV (Customer Lifetime Value)

Bundle deals and quantity discounts can create opportunities for repeat purchases. Combined with a subscriptions app, you can also build a path for a single customer to keep purchasing over time. Acquiring new customers costs ad spend, but getting existing customers to repeat purchase lets you grow revenue while keeping acquisition costs down.

Getting Inventory Moving

Products that don't sell well on their own become easier to pick up when bundled with popular products. You can use this to promote items that tend to sit in stock, helping clear stagnant inventory or rotate out seasonal products.

Kaching Bundles App & Upsells Pricing Plans

Here's an explanation of Kaching Bundles App & Upsells' pricing plans. There's no difference in features or support between plans — what differs is the cap on additional sales generated through the app.
