How to add a 'Tags' app to the Shopify theme.

Add an app block to a section

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
2. Find the theme that you want to edit, and then click Customize.
3. Navigate to the page and section where you want to add the app block.
4. Click Add block.
5. From the drop-down menu, in the Apps section, select the app block named ’Tags’ to the section or click the Search bar and enter a search term to search through your installed apps.
6. Optional: move the app block to the place you want it in the section.
7. Click Save.

Add an app block to a template

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
2. Find the theme that you want to edit, and then click Customize.
3. Navigate to the page where you want to add the app section.
4. Click Add section.
5. From the drop-down menu, in the Apps section, select the app named ’Tags’ to add to the page or click the Search bar and enter some text to search through your installed apps.
6. Optional: move the app section to the place you want it on the page.
7. Click Save.

RuffRuff Product & Blog Tags' app does not show up on the theme editor.

There are 2 possible causes

(1) It is not an OS 2.0 theme

We are very sorry about this.

RuffRuff Tag List' cannot be installed in unsupported (non-OS2.0) themes.

(2) It is not a supported template

The tag list is only supported by four templates: Blog Posts, Blog, Products, and Collection.

Please access one of the templates.

If this does not solve the problem, please contact us.

Unable to access the 'Blog Posts' template

This may be due to the fact that none of the published blog posts exist.

Please create a blog post with a published status and check again.

If this does not solve the problem, please contact us.

Unable to access the 'Products' template

This may be due to the fact that none of the published products exist.

Please create a product with published status and check again.

If this does not solve the problem, please contact us.

I added a 'Tags' app in the theme editor, but the tag list is not displayed.

There are 3 possible causes.

(1) The product (or blog post) to which the tag is assigned does not exist.

Please set the tag on the product (or blog post) and check again.

(2) the status of 'RuffRuff Product & Blog Tags' is set to 'Disabled'.

Go to the application settings page of 'RuffRuff Product & Blog Tags' and activate the status.

(3) The state of the 'Tags' application in the Theme Editor is 'disabled'.

Please check if the 'eye icon' in the 'Tags' app in the Theme Editor is grayed out.

If this does not solve the problem, please contact us.

I want to introduce a tag list to a theme that is not supported (other than OS 2.0).

We apologize for the inconvenience.

This app cannot be installed on unsupported themes (other than OS 2.0).

Changed settings are not reflected in the tag lists.

Due to the cache function in Shopify itself, it may take some time to be reflected.

Please give it some time and check again.

If the problem has not been resolved after a few hours, please contact us.

Please understand that we may request permission to access your Shopify store in order to verify the issue.

I signed up for a light plan but cannot hide the brand.

This app does not automatically hide the brand when you sign up for a light plan.

Please check the "Hide RuffRuff App by Tsun" checkbox on the customize tag list page.

If you still can't hide the brand, please contact us from the app.

I want to change the design on each page.

Customized designs are available from the Regular plan.

When you sign up for the Regular plan, an app block named "Tags (Regular)" will appear on the theme editor.

Please add a "Tags(Regular)" app block for each page and customize the design individually.

What can the Light plan do?

It will be able to do the following.

・All features of the Free plan

・Hiding of brands (hiding of RuffRuff App by Tsun)

What can the Regular plan do?

It will be able to do the following.

・All features of Light plan

・Design customization per page
